Wolfgang Bürkle
Dr. Peter Geiselhart

New managing director is Dr. Peter Geiselhart

Wolfgang Bürkle retires at the age of 70 and after more than 20 years as managing director from the operative business at Feinmetall. He will be succeeded by Dr. Peter Geiselhart, who already became familiar with Feinmetall as technical director in the mid-1990s. Wolfgang Bürkle will continue to be involved in the development of the company as Chairman of the Advisory Board and Managing Director of the owner holding company and will be involved in important decisions.

Peter Geiselhart is no stranger to Feinmetall and the industry: His professional career has taken him through various positions in the electronics and semiconductor industries. He was Division Manager at Blaupunkt/Bosch, later Division Manager at Motorola Germany, then General Manager Europe at Harman/Becker. For the last six years, Geiselhart has been a member of the Management Board of Elmos Semiconductor AG, responsible for R&D and Sales.

"I am delighted that in Peter Geiselhart we have been able to gain a proven industry and technology expert as Managing Director and I am convinced that he will successfully continue Feinmetall in the spirit of the owner family and that he can provide strong impulses for further internationalization and the development of new business fields," emphasizes Wolfgang Bürkle. Bürkle had taken over the management of the family-owned company in 1997 with 80 employees at the time and since then has driven the growth of the company both in terms of sales and profits by opening up international markets and also in terms of employment growth. Today Feinmetall has around 600 employees worldwide, half of them in Herrenberg, Germany.

"Feinmetall is internationally excellently positioned and has potential for further growth," says Peter Geiselhart. His goal is to expand the product portfolio and to develop new business fields. " Electromobility, the new 5G mobile communications standard and autonomous driving in particular offer good prospects for the future. Wherever electronics are used, the components have to be tested," Geiselhart continues. Whether with classic spring contact probes or with probe cards, contact technology from Feinmetall is always in demand".
