Reliable contacting with high currents

For the reliable contacting of contaminated areas or critical surfaces like aluminum or nickel FEINMETALL has developed a new contact probe 1860C009. By using inclined contact probes, a slight scrub is realized on the contacted surface. This significantly increases the penetration compared to standard high current probes.

Because of the inclined plungers the contact tips make a lateral movement during the compression of the springs. This scrub allows a more reliable penetration of contaminations or oxide layers of the DUT and at the same time a compensation of unevenness. This creates an increased contact surface and contact force, leading to a higher ampacity of the contact.

The contact probe 1860C009 can be used in centers down to 12 mm and allows continuous currents up to 80 A.
