Radio Frequency Probes

In coaxially constructed radio frequency probes, the inner conductor is used for signal transmission, while the outer conductor serves as shielding. These probes are used for contacting many standardized RF connectors and RF sockets. Starting with larger Fakra or HSD connectors, over SMA, SMB, SMC connectors, up to small SMD-equipped switch connectors or for contacting directly on PCBs.

Mounting Options

There are different mounting options for the new series of radio frequency probes. Some can be screwed directly into the mounting plate by means of a thread.

Other versions can be adjusted by a flange and screwed to the mounting plate. This allows a wobble function to better catch and contact the DUT. The mounting hole must be sized accordingly if wobbling of the probe is required in the application.

The wobble function in combination with the flange mounting of the probe allows a safe contacting in the smallest possible pitch here e.g. for Fakra connectors.
