Pogo Tower

A Pogo Tower is the mechanical and electrical interface between the test head of a semiconductor tester and the probe card. It establishes a stable, high-precision connection and reliably transmits test signals and supply voltages from the tester to the probe card. The Pogo Tower ensures precise alignment and uniform contact via a large number of Contact Probes (spring-loaded). This design ensures reproducible measurement conditions, high signal quality, and secure contact with the test object during the test process.

FAQ

It uses a large number of Spring Contact Probes (Pogo Pins) that establish a precise, consistent connection between the test head and the test card.

Pogo Towers are used in semiconductor back-end and wafer testing.

It must ensure high parallelism, precise alignment, low transition resistance, and reliable signal transmission even with high pin counts.
