Floating hold-down plate

A floating hold-down plate is a mechanically mounted plate within a Test Fixture. It securely holds the device under test in position during contact and can simultaneously compensate for minor positional, manufacturing, or alignment deviations.

Thanks to its flexible mounting, the floating hold-down plate promotes even force distribution, reduces mechanical stress, and ensures stable contact conditions. This supports reliable contact, reproducible test results, and process-reliable handling during the test sequence.
