Opening angle

The opening angle describes the angle at which a mechanical unit, cover, cassette, or assembly can be opened. In Test Fixtures, the opening angle is important for ensuring safe and ergonomic access to the test object, the interchangeable cassette, or internal components.

A sufficiently large opening angle facilitates the insertion and removal of test specimens, supports maintenance work, and improves the usability of the Test Fixture. At the same time, it can help prevent collisions with components and make the workflow during setup or testing more efficient.

FAQ

A wide opening angle facilitates the insertion, removal, and maintenance of components and can reduce setup times in the testing process.

The opening angle should provide sufficient access without placing mechanical stress on components, cables, or Interfaces in the Test Fixture.

An appropriate opening angle facilitates access to Contact Probes, cassettes, and internal components, allowing maintenance work to be performed more quickly and safely.
