Interface block / Pylon block
An interface block, also known as a Pylon block, is an interface assembly within the Test Fixture that systematically accommodates and transfers electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical connections between the Test Fixture, the interchangeable cassette, and the test system. It serves to neatly bundle and position defined interface areas and to integrate them mechanically and stably into the Test Fixture structure.
Depending on the design, an interface block can accommodate signal paths, compressed air connections, or contact components. This supports clear assignment of the interfaces, simplifies assembly and maintenance, and enables a modular, service-friendly design of the Test Fixture.
