Push-down plate

A push-down plate is a mechanical component in a Test Fixture that transmits the force required to make contact with the device under test.

It ensures that the device under test is guided evenly against the Contact Probes or contact elements, establishing a reliable electrical connection.

Depending on the design of the Test Fixture, the push-down plate can be rigidly guided, mounted on a movable bearing, or designed as a Floating push-down plate. A precisely engineered push-down plate supports stable contact conditions, reproducible measurement results, and safe handling during the test process.

FAQ

It guides the test object evenly toward the Contact Probes and ensures stable electrical contact conditions.

Push-down plates are used in Test Fixtures, interchangeable cassettes, and contact systems.

Uniform force distribution reduces mechanical stress and helps ensure reproducible test results.
