Progressive Series
The Progressive Series is a line of contact pins from FEINMETALL designed for demanding testing conditions in printed circuit board testing. It was developed for applications in which test or solder points are difficult to contact reliably due to flux residues, oxide layers, OSP coatings, or other contaminants.
Technically, the Progressive Series combines a special progressive coating, increased spring preload, and optimized tip styles. This allows the contact tip to penetrate residues more effectively, establish a stable electrical connection, and maintain contact quality over many touchdowns.
In ICT and Functional Test, the Progressive Series helps reduce contact-related measurement errors, improve the service life of Contact Probes, and enable stable testing processes under challenging conditions.
